CUSTOM BUILT STA-LEVEL

This all-tube hand-built custom Sta-Level clone is one of four that I hand built a number of years ago. All point-to-point wiring and NOS transformers and tubes. Components internally are similar to the way they were built 50 years ago with NOS carbon resistors and capacitors etc; This unit includes 6v6 tubes and the rare hard to find NOS Five Star GE 6386 Mu tube found in Fairchilds. The 6386 is the be all - end all of Mu tubes IMHO.    

If you want a reliable, quiet, clean 100% classic tube compressor that will last for years this is one of the rare finds. We downsized the studio and I just do not have the room for four of these. I'll be keeping one.   

You can see by the test I ran on my Audio Precision Scope this compressor is impressive.
